Phase 4 PEAK Implementation Paused
The University will pause the Phase 4 PEAK implementation and take a closer look at what is working well, where improvements are needed, and how lessons from earlier phases will shape the next stage of implementation.
The decision reflects a commitment to continue to learn and assess what has been most effective in Phases 1 through 3 before moving forward with the remaining Phase 4 service transitions.
What does the pause mean for the Units?
There will be no work or staff transitions during this pause.
The program will be reviewed to identify additional opportunities to strengthen the model. This work will continue to include broad stakeholder engagement, along with deeper analysis of processes and services. At each phase of the rollout of the new service model, teams have assessed what has been done previously and made adjustments. Part of this additional analysis work is already underway through the TeamDynamix (TDX) assessment project.
Three units will continue:
While most Phase 4 implementation work is paused, three units will continue with the originally scheduled November 30 service transition based on their specific operational needs and readiness to move forward: the College of Design, University of Minnesota Extension, and University Libraries.
