Preparing for Staffing & Expression of Interest Process

We’re now preparing to move into the Staffing and Expression of Interest portion of the PEAK initiative that will begin in mid-July. At this point you may have attended the To-Be Workshops where people discussed the specific human resources (HR) and finance work that will be moving to the HR and Finance Operations Centers as well as the Talent Acquisition Center of Expertise on November 30, 2026.

That was the first step in creating understanding of how roles could change. The next step is staffing. At the end of this month you will receive a letter letting you know if you are eligible to participate in the Expression of Interest process. Employees who do not meet the eligibility criteria to participate in the expression of interest process, but are interested in a role with one of the operations centers will be given first consideration if they apply for available positions by July 24.

What is Expression of Interest?

Expression of Interest (EOI) is the process by which some employees, whose work is significantly impacted by work shifting through PEAK, will be offered the first opportunity to follow the work moving and express interest in a lateral transfer into a shared services team position.

If you choose to express interest, you will not be required to go through a traditional application and interview process. Eligible employees will receive an EOI survey on July 13 where they will have the opportunity to indicate which roles they are interested in, ranking their order of preference. The survey will be open for two weeks, with a deadline to respond by July 24, 2026. During this period you will also have an opportunity to potentially apply for promotional opportunities.

What if I am non-EOI-eligible but I have a portion of my work moving?

If you are not eligible to participate in the EOI process, but you have a portion of your work moving, you will be able to apply to open positions and you will receive first consideration if you apply by the preference deadline of July 24. That means that your application will be reviewed first with hiring managers and the goal will be to hire from this pool of applicants before positions would be shared with the broader University community.

Next Steps: Exploring All of your options

To prepare you for this process you will be notified of your eligibility at the end of April and you will be invited to a series of in-person Meet and Greets in early June. Please note there will also be one virtual session.

To see specific Meet and Greet dates, please take a look at the upcoming sessions and pick a time that works for you. The Meet and Greets are a great way to explore job opportunities and meet the Operation and Talent Acquisition Center of Expertise leaders.

By attending you are not committing to anything, it is simply an opportunity to explore all of your career options which we encourage you to do. You will also have a chance to meet staff who made this transition from past phases and we encourage you to talk to them too. The University and your college/unit leadership is committed to supporting you through this process. Please take full advantage of this opportunity to explore all your options.

The PEAK team is to support you and provide you with all of the resources you need. If you have any questions please reach out to your supervisor, Unit’s transition team or contact us at: [email protected].
