Staffing and Expression of Interest
March 30, 2026
A key component of the workforce transition is staffing for newly created roles in the Finance and Human Resources Operations Centers and Centers of Expertise. The University is prioritizing providing these opportunities to employees in Phase 4 who are currently doing that work. This staffing approach consists of two pathways: expressing interest via internal transfer, and applying for an open internal position on a shared services team. What does it mean to express interest, when will new opportunities become available, and who is eligible?
What is Expression of Interest?
On July 13, the new Finance and Human Resources Operations Center teams began their staffing process to support work moving out of Phase 4 units as part of the PEAK Initiative. This staffing approach consists of two pathways for employees: expressing interest via internal transfer, and applying for an open internal position on a central team.
Expression of Interest (EOI) is the next step in the staffing process. EOI is the process by which some employees, whose work is significantly impacted by work shifting through PEAK, will be offered the first opportunity to follow the work moving and express interest in a lateral transfer into a shared services team position.
If you choose to express interest, you will not be required to go through a traditional application and interview process, but will need to submit your response via the Qualtrics link by the position deadline. EOI PEAK Positions will close on July 24, 2026.
Can I apply for an internal position?
As work begins to shift from local units to the Operation Centers, new positions will be created to support that work. Any University employee, including those that are EOI-eligible, can apply for these positions. However, priority consideration will be given to Phase 4 employees that are impacted by PEAK changes if they apply by the (TBD) priority deadline.
These PEAK specific internal job opportunities will be posted via the University’s internal job posting site.
Who is eligible?
Employees that attended the To-Be Workshops as part of the Phase 4 people and work transition may be in-scope for expressing interest. Expression of Interest eligibility is determined through a variety of factors including work identified through the Finance and HR transactional data and job code alignment within the units.
Some Phase 4 employees who do not meet eligibility criteria for a transfer, but perform the same or similar tasks to the work that is shifting, will receive preferred consideration for these positions.
Employees will receive confirmation of their EOI eligibility via email from the PEAK Project Office ([email protected]) in May. Those that are eligible for EOI will receive their personalized link via Qualtrics on July 13, 2026 and have until July 24, 2026 to opt in if they are interested in EOI.
