PEAK Implementation happening in four phases

 

All University of Minnesota academic and administrative units will go through PEAK project implementation and join the new service model at different times. These units are organized into four planned phases.

What is PEAK Project Implementation?

Project implementation is the process by which each unit and the PEAK Project Office work closely together to understand the changes and transition to the new service model.  This process includes the identification and thoughtful transition of work and employees from academic and administrative units to central teams. 

Below is a high-level description of the Project Implementation process:

  1. Kickoff and onboarding - Unit leaders identify their Transition Team leaders and the teams learn more details about the project plan and steps. 
  2. Discovery - work begins to gather information about how work is done today and who is doing that work locally to better support those units with the new service model. 
  3. People & work transition includes information gathering, staffing and work realignment in support of the new service model.
  4. Transition of Services - testing, training, and communication to prepare and then support units and teams as they begin and continue to use the new service model.
