A Message From Our Executive Sponsors

Thank you to all of the leaders, transition teams and staff who have been working hard on PEAK. We are grateful for all of you and we appreciate your partnership.

PEAK is an important step in our process to work better together as one university. It is one of the ways we’re bringing our new strategic plan to life by focusing on streamlining our operations, which includes improving the ways we work together as Human Resources (HR) and Finance functions.

Our Shared Values:

As with any change, there will be bumps in the road, and this is where we really need to work together and delve into our university values of respect, community, accountability, teamwork, and innovation. By streamlining our Finance and HR processes we can implement additional system improvements in the future. PEAK will also allow us to better leverage our purchasing power as a large institution, standardize and measure our data and processes and continue to recruit top talent. These are just a few of the possibilities by taking this first step of implementing the shared services model.

Expression of Interest and Staffing:

As we enter the next major milestone of the Phase 3 transition, we will begin the Expression of Interest (EOI) and staffing phase of the project. Staff who filled out the Work Insights Exercise (WIE) will receive communication in early November that will let them know if they qualify for EOI which would allow them to move laterally to a position in the Finance, Human Resources Operation Centers or Talent Acquisition Center of Expertise.

Reimagining the Work in the Units:

At the same time, units will work closely with the PEAK team to help reimagine the work that remains in their colleges. As transition teams prepare for this work, it is important to look at the remaining work with an innovative lens and not duplicate efforts or processes that will be handled by the operations centers and Talent Acquisition Center of Expertise. This is a great time to proactively take inventory of duplicative systems and streamline processes where you can.

Thank you for your continued commitment to moving the University forward.
