9 Tips for Supervisors Leading Teams Through Change
(Source Expression of Interest Toolkit: Supervisor Guide)
PEAK is just one of the many changes you may be experiencing as supervisors and leaders. Navigating and leading change requires empathy, vision and holding space for people to go through their own emotions as they move through the change curve. It can also be difficult as a leader because you go through your own emotions at the same time and want to be reassuring to your team.
A lot of times you are the first person staff come to with questions because they trust you. One of the most effective things you can do as a leader is understand the “why” behind the change, the vision for the future and be able to translate that to your teams. Also, to listen to your staff and create a safe space for your staff to give feedback and share where they are at in the process. We have included this helpful guide: 9 Tips for Supervisors Leading Teams Through Change.
In early November, we also shared with your transition teams the Supervisor Guide which is part of the Expression of Interest Toolkit. As a PEAK team, we are here to support you as well. If you have additional questions or feedback please reach out to us at: [email protected].
