Phase 4: Staffing & Expression of Interest

The Staffing and EOI portion of the PEAK initiative will begin in mid-July. At this point employees who are impacted may have attended the To-Be Workshops where people discussed the specific human resources (HR) and finance work that will be moving on November 30, 2026 to the HR and Finance Operations Centers and the Talent Acquisition Center of Expertise.

The To-Be Workshops were the first step in creating understanding of how roles could change. The next step is staffing.

On April 27, employees will receive a letter if they are eligible to participate in the EOI process. Employees who do not meet the eligibility criteria to participate in the EOI process, but are interested in a role with one of the operations centers will be given first consideration if they apply for available positions by July 24.

What is EOI and how does the process work?

EOI is the process by which some employees, whose work is significantly impacted by work shifting through PEAK, will be offered the first opportunity to follow the work moving and express interest in a lateral transfer into a shared services team position at their current salary.

If employees choose to express interest, they will not be required to go through a traditional application and interview process. Eligible employees will receive an EOI survey on July 13 where they will have the opportunity to indicate which roles they are interested in, ranking their order of preference. The survey will be open for two weeks, with a deadline to respond by July 24, 2026. During this period employees will also have an opportunity to apply for promotional opportunities.

How does the process work for non-EOI-eligible employees that have a portion of their work moving?

Employees who are non-EOI-eligible, but have a portion of their work moving will be able to apply to open positions and will receive first consideration if they apply by the preference deadline of July 24. That means that their application will be reviewed first with hiring managers and the goal will be to hire from this pool of applicants before positions would be shared with the broader University community.

Next Steps: Supporting Employees

To prepare employees for this process we will notify them of their eligibility at the end of April. This will not be the first time employees hear of their EOI-eligibility, unit-level conversations are already underway. In May, employees will be invited to a series of their own in-person Meet and Greets in early June, please note there will be one virtual session for those who aren’t able to attend in-person.
